About The Reed Collection

A collection of family photos of Pryors and aligned families from Sumner County, TN. In February 2007 this collection of family photos was loaned to the Tennessee Pryor website.

Among the photos are several tin-type photos from the 1860’s and 1870’s and photos from the 1880’s and 1890’s of the children and grandchildren of Allen L. Pryor of Sumner County. In the late 1890’s Lycurgus Pryor, his sisters Ann Eliza Pryor Simmons and Alice Pryor Belt with their respecitve families left Gallatin for Farmersville in Collin County, TX. Many of the photos are from these lines who migrated to Texas.
