Sherrill Pryor of White County, TN — His Will Filed in MO

I didn’t think I’d revisit John Pryor and Ruth Sherrill so quickly. I recently posted about their son William (see post).  It looks like we now have information of what happened to their son Sherrill Pryor. His will was found in Polk County, Missouri. It mentions his wife Rebecca* (he married Rebecca* Hitcherouth in Sangamon County, Illinois in 1832.

I Sherrill Prier of the county of Polk in the State of Missouri do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say.

First It is my will that what is owing to me be collected and all my Just Debts paid but if there should not be a sufficiency to pay my Debts that so much of my property be sold as will satisfy all Just demands that may come against me.

Second I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Rebecca Prier all and every species of property that I now posess or have any right or claim to.

And lastly I hereby appoint Evin Smith to be Executor of this my last will and testament.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of July 1839.

Signed published and declared by the above named Sherrill Prier as his Last will and Testament in presence of us
