1854 – Augustus B Prior under the sentence of death for murder, broke the Jail of Richland and has made his escape…he may be arrested and brought to suffer the sentence of the law…about twenty one years of age, five feet five or ten inches, high, weighs one hunderd and twenty five or one hundered and thirty pounds, has small hands and feet, dark hair, and dark blue eyes, and a scar on the thumb of the left hand. 1776 Militia – Luke Pryor listed as captain in volunteer militia Col. GG Powell’s Regiment, Journal of the council of Safety 21 Feb 1776 .
1776 Revolutionary War Service. William Shelly stated on his pension application that he entered into service as a “drafted militia man” under the command of Luke PRYOR in 1776. He served 3 months under Pryor at Haddrell’s Point near Charleston, SC.
1776? Revolutionary War Service. John Owen stated he can not recollect the year but he was under the command of Capt. Luke PRYOR. He was stationed at Haddrell’s Point near the fort on Sullivan’s Island.

All that Plantation, situate in St. George’s Parish near Dorchester, containing about 567 acres bounding on lands formerly of John Rose, and on lands of Episcopal Church, of Seth Prior, and on Ashley River.
