1823 Posted Bail for David Massie – David Massie Junr and Jno T. Pryor comes into Court and acknowledges themselves to be held and firmly bound unto the State of Missouri in the sum of two hundred dollars each [–?–] to be levied fof their respective goods and chattle lands and tenements conditioned for the appearance of the said David Massie at the next term of this court to answer unto the State of Missoui in a plea of recognizance for hog staling & not to depart the said Court without leave.

1823 – State of Missouri vs. David Massie Senr. Now on this day comes the said Massie and says he his not Guilty nor ready for trial. Thereupon the Court orders the cause to be continued. Thence comes the said defendant and John T. Pryor and acknowledges themselves to be held and firmly bound unto the State of Missouri in the sum of fifty dollars each to be levied of their respective goods and chattals lands and tenements, conditioned for the appearance of the said David Massie at the next term of the Court to answer unto the State of Missouri of a pleas of Assault and Battery committed on the body of Hiram Perkins and not to depart the said court without leave. Thomas Shockley and Hiram Perkins also appeared in court to post bail for assualt and batter against David Massie.

Thomas Schockley and Lewis David comes into court and acknowledges themselves to be held and firmly bound unto the State of Missouri in the sum of fifty dollars each to be levied of their respective goods and chattals lands and tenements conditional for the appearance at the next term of the court to give testimony in the pro–?–ment against William Pryor, James Jett, Robert Pryor, and Jonathan McCally for disturbing religious worship.
