1823 – Deed of Trust dated 5 Nov 1823 by George Campbell and wife to William Evans Trustee, for the benefit of Thomas Miller and John PRYOR. Beverly B. Pryor of AL was commissioned as Captain on 22 March 1836. He served with Capt Bartholomew Ferguson and Capt William W Weaver).

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly convened, That the name of Dolly Beverly B. Harrel, an illegitimate child of Beverly B. Pryor, of Madison county, be, and the same is hereby changed to Dolly Beverly B. Pryor. Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Dolly Beverly B. by the name of Dolly Beverly B. Pryor, be, and she is hereby made capable in law or equity, to inherit all the estate, both real and personal, of Richard Pryor, in the same manner, and to the same extent, as if she had been born his lawful heir. We learn that Mr. Van Leer, the celebrated trainer, and Mr. Pryor, of Huntsville, Ala., have taken the Bascombe race course at Mobile. They are very competent to their duty. A new club is to be formed, and a meeting will be held next month, commencing on the 17th.

1849 Separation Agreement – James C. Pryor and Martha his wife and Thomas Martin all of Madison County, AL. Pryor and Martha having lived together for some time as husband and wife and having found that owing to the uninformity and incompatibility of tempers and dispositions they cannot live in the harmony so much required to make the married state a happy one have mutually agreed to a final separation. The said separation is to be had upon the following terms and conditions. He releases and surrenders to said Martha all right and power of controlling her actions conferred on him by marriage. He surrenders to Marth the child now born and one hereafter to be born being the issue of his said marriage and gives up right of all custody. 16 July 1849. Deed book X, page 297.

1922 Probate Case for J. R. J. Williams, deceased. Dr. R. B. Pryor was Williams’ attending physician and present on the day he died. Pryor testified that he arrived on the day he died on 22 July 1922. Pryor stated that during the reading of the will James W. Williams who died in February 1865 was referenced.
