In the matter of William PRYOR, insane.
Came James M. Brown and presented a petition representing that William Pryor is insane or deistracted and asking that prodeedings be instituted to enquire inot his alledged insanity or distraction according to law.
Whereupon a writ issued was executed by bringing the said William Pryor before the court and a vinire? for a jury was executed by summoning six good and lawful men to wit: Geo. W. Ross, J. B. Nulton, Warren English, M. L. Reed, Edward Boothe and W. G. Beson who being duly impaneled tried and sworn sat together and after hearing the evidence and the instructions of the court retired to consider of their verdict and after being out for a time return into court and upon their oaths say “we the jury find the said William Pryor to be insane and a fit subject to be confirmed in an Illinois Hospital for the insane. It is therefore ordered by the court that the said William Pryor be confined in an Illinois Hospital for the Insane. Davis, public guardian and presents his petition for letters of guardianship of the estate of Joseph Henry Pryor minor heir of Peter Hobson, deceased. which is heard by the court and the court finds that William Lavery former public guardian of this county had in his hands the sum of $370.67 belonging to said Joseph Henry Pryor and that siad William Lavery is insane? and has been succeded as public guardian by Frank A. Davis. It is therefore ordered that said Frank A. Davis public guardian as aforesaid be and he is appointed guardian of said Joseph Henry Pryor without any additional bond to be his bond as public guardian. And that the clerk issue letter of guardian ship to the said Frank A. Davis In the matter of the estate of Joseph Henry Pryor, monor, William Lavery guard. Final Report. Now on this day comes John Lavery and B. C. Hodges conservators of William Lavery, insane guardian of Joseph Henry Pryor and present a final report as such guardian which report is approved by the court and William Lavery discharged as guardian aforesaid. (Note: I found the will of Peter Hobson, dated 5 May 1901 in Greene Co., IL. His heirs were his siblings in England. The “known” heirs were Mississippi Drum, George King, Lot King, Martha Elizabeth Groves, Mrs. Sarah Raper, Mary Jane Todd, Sarah Brook, Hezekiah King, Ezekiel King, Minatheth King, Ezra King, and Mary and Kendall.
