1833 NOTICE – On Sunday last, a free man of color by the name of JAMES MARLOW absented himself from this County, taking with him his Wife and Child. From the conduct of said Marlow before his departure, there is good reason to believe that he has under false representations, persuaded off his Wife and Child, with the intent, through the aid of a white man by the name of JESSE Harrison, of selling them. JAMES MARLOW is a dark mulatto, slender made, with two or three dark specks on one of his eyes. His wife, Mary Ann is also a dark multto, very thin, about 22 years of age, with a chub nose. The Child is a Girl, by the name of Cynthia Pryor, about 12 months old.
