1811 Suit filed in Loudon County Chancery Court – James Pryor vs. Lydia Purcell, et al. On 30 May 1799 Thomas Pursell sold a lot of land to Adam Householder in the town of Hillsborough. The lot adjoined a 1/4 acre that Pursell sold to Mahlon Hough. Householder then assigned the agreement to William Paxon who assigned it to James Pryor.

1795? Chancery Court Case – Adminstrators of George Meriwether vs. William Smith. (George Meriwether the stepson of Samuel Pryor (and wife Frances). William Smith the husband of Sally Pryor, widow of Matthew Payne.) States George Meriwether died in Kentucky and his brother Nicholas Meriwether was the executor of his estate. Other people mentioned in documents Elijah Dickinson, James Meriwether, Thomas Johnson, R J Sandidge, John Hughes, Valentine Meriwether, David Hudson. In the file is a copy of a promissory note between Smith and the Meriwether from 1780 for 2400 pounds.

1752 Estate Sale – One thousand and Eighty Acres of good Land, lying in the County of Lunenburg, on Toxekiah Creek, joining Lines of Baker, and Stunks, purchased of Mr. Charles Stunks, purchased of Mr. Charles Irby, by Arthur Pryor, deceas’d, the Pattent to be taken out in the Purchaser’s Name, or good lawful Deeds to be made by the said Irby, before the 10th day of June next, or after, when required, one Half the Money to be paid down, the other Half twelve Months after. Any Gentleman inclinable to purchase may know the Price, and by Direction may be met with at any convenient Place, to be treated with at any Time by John Waller and Christopher Pryor, Executors.
