1813 Deed – (section 74) a deed of trust (copy made by John Timberlake), 1815, of David Ross to Jacob Myers, William Pasteur, and Frederick Augustus Ross for the benefit of Elizabeth Maria (Bancroft) Ross Barrett and Anna Maria (Ross) Johnson for 1,500 acres in Fluvanna County, Virginia (witnessed by William Roper and James Shepherd and bears affidavits of James Currin, John Johnson, John PRYOR, and Thomas Ritchie, and a schedule of slaves belonging to David Ross). (See Sullivan Co., TN – a David Ross and John Pryor settled near each other. See John Pryor in Campbell Co., VA who in 1785 witnessed deed that also names David Ross).

1835 Chancery Court Case filed in Fluvanna County – Martha Louisa Quarles vs Mary Pryor Quarles et al. Martha Louisa Quarles an “infant” daughter of Garret M Quarles. She was one of two children (names another daughter Mary Pryor Quarles) who were heirs of Pryor Quarles, decd. Robert Quarles, decd, was Martha’s grandfather. Dispute over division of land. (Robert Quarles married Patsey Minor, their sons were Pryor and Garret. Parents of Robert Quarles were James Quarles and Mary Pryor, sister of Maj. John Pryor of Richmond, VA)
